Inside the Falconhead gated grounds you have a beautiful 18 hole golf course to enjoy. There are deep historical roots that run through our challenging 18 hole golf course.  This historic course has played host to PGA’s  “Waco Turner Open” and LPGA’s “Opie Turner” events.  Falconhead Golf Course has had many professional players on the course over a number of years. You can enjoy this golf course and see if you have what it takes to play where some of the greatest players of all time have played.

The Pro Shop, Falconhead Offices, Restaurant, Bar, and Motel are all within walking distance of the Falconhead RV Park. The Pro Shop is where you check in and pay to play golf. You can eat at Opie’s Cafe any time it is open. They have a variety of things on the menu and it is a popular place to eat.

After your round of golf you can kick back and enjoy a mixed drink or beer and relax in Turner’s Lounge. There is a pool table and many local pool tournaments that take place there. There is indoor and outdoor seating for the lounge. There are over 300 homes inside the gates of Falconhead. So this is a popular local hang out.

The Blue Ostrich Winery and Vineyard is 12 miles from Burneyville and is located in St. Jo, Texas. It is a family owned and operated winery & vineyard offering tastings, entertainment and some food items Thursday through Sunday. RESERVATIONS ARE STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. Blue Ostrich makes and serves “old world” wines both dry and sweet. Their 2017 Viognier was a double gold and best in category winner at the 2018 San Francisco International Wine Competition. Groups of 8 or larger should call ahead for group tasting reservations. This is a great adult day trip or getaway while you are staying at the Falconhead RV Park.

The Lake Murray Riding Stables offers the perfect horse back riding experience for those looking for an adventure as well as a casual ride along beautiful nature trails. Situated in Lake Murray State Park, the Lake Murray Riding Stables  trail ride schedule has rides leaving every hour, on the hour and last between 45 minutes to one hour. Hayrides are also available for guests who want to sit back, relax and enjoy an effortless ride. Trot over to the Lake Murray Riding Stables for an exciting horseback ride with family and friends!

Tucker Tower is located in Ardmore, Oklahoma at Lake Murray State Park and is an icon for southern Oklahoma and beyond. Overlooking the beautiful Lake Murray, it is well worth a visit to experience they sights in and around the tower, as well as the history the location has to offer. This tower was intended as a summer home for Governor Bill Murray and now stands as a lighthouse sentinel many years later. Make sure to stop by next time you visit the lake for a fishing trip!
